Feds Get In The Game To Fund Digital Tools For Mental Health Monitoring, Treatment

Among projects recently funded by the National Institutes of Mental Health are studies to assess a gaming system to evaluate and treat depression, and smartphone tools to correlate behavioral data with a patient’s mental state with enough precision to drive treatment for bipolar disorder. The institute says it wants to improve the current “bricks-and-mortar” mental health care system.
