CMS Plan To Remove Speaker Payment Disclosure Exemption: Stigmatizing Or Administrative?

A proposal by CMS to remove an explicit exemption from Open Payments/Sunshine Act disclosure requirements for certain continuing medical education speakers will unnecessarily stigmatize physicians, says a CME industry group, but CMS and others suggest the proposed change will not have much, if any, practical impact on physicians or companies.
