US House Votes To Permanently Repeal Device Tax

Lawmakers in the House voted July 24 to permanently repeal the 2.3% medical device excise tax, even as Democrats from Massachusetts and New Jersey vigorously opposed repeal, saying the tax revenue is still needed to uphold the Affordable Care Act. But action in the Senate is unpredictable.
