State GMO Labeling Bills Flourish, National Prospects Languish

At least 15 states have legislation pending to label genetically engineered food that if passed would create a patchwork of laws that would complicate compliance for supplement and food producers. Many of the bills incorporate lessons learned from the failure of California’s Prop 37.
