Multi-vitamin research

Congressionally mandated study examining the relationship between daily vitamin usage and academic performance of at-risk children will begin in December and run through May 2004, The Healthy Foundation announced July 16. One thousand five hundred fourth-graders will be chosen at random from an urban school district in N.J. to receive either a daily placebo or vitamins provided by Tishcon Corp. Researchers will then evaluate results of a state-authorized, standardized exam, grade point averages, misbehavior and punctuality. Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) and Rep.
