The Hero acquisition is expected to be accretive to C&D’s cash earnings and neutral to adjusted 2023 earnings per share, inclusion of transition costs, interest expense and intangible amortization.

Until then, though, Ewing, NJ-based C&D is expecting slower growth for its current portfolio. It said it’s reducing its 2022 full-year outlook due to a drop in demand for its Flawless devices and vitamin lines.

Full-year reported sales growth is anticipated at 2% to4 %, down from an earlier estimate of 4% to 5% stated with C&D’s second-quarter results in July, which was lowered from 5% to 8% growth the firm forecast earlier in the year.
