The World Intellectual Property Organization should revoke its support for a global database of patent information backed by brand body the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations, according to the International Generic and Biosimilar Medicines Association.
The IGBA argues that the Pat-INFORMED database contains unverified data and lacks appropriate safeguards, making it inappropriate for a United Nations agency such as WIPO to endorse.
