Plans UK Launch Later This Year Following MHRA Approval For Luforbec Version

Lupin has claimed a first with a UK approval for a rival to Fostair. The Indian company has told Generics Bulletin that it is planning to roll out the Luforbec branded generic later this year.

Lupin has added to a recent string of firsts by claiming the first UK approval for a generic version of Chiesi’s Fostair (beclometasone/formoterol) 100mcg/6mcg dose pressurized metered dose inhaler.

The UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has issued a marketing authorization for Lupin’s version of the asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease treatment under the name Luforbec
