Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited has delivered on its ambition to introduce in Europe a generic version of Boehringer Ingelheim’s Spiriva Handihaler (tiotropium bromide) dry-powder inhaler, with an initial launch in the UK and plans for expansion across other Western European markets.

The Indian firm said it had become “one of the first companies” to launch in UK a bioequivalent version of the treatment for chronic obstructive
