Zentiva will be under new management from the start of next month, after the privately-owned Czech Republic-based company announced that former Acino chief Steffen Saltofte would join the firm to succeed Nick Haggar as CEO from 2 May.

Having been appointed to lead Acino in mid-2018 (Also see "Acino names Saltofte as its chief executive" - Generics Bulletin, 22 June, 2018.), Saltofte served as CEO of the firm until 2022, shortly after Acino was acquired by the state-backed Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company, or ADQ, from its former private-equity owners Nordic Capital and Avista Capital Partners
