HHS' Agency for Health Care Policy and Research has scheduled a Sept. 20 public meeting to address the update of the clinical practice guideline "Urinary Incontinence in Adults," originally published in March 1992. A Japanese study of Watchman LAA closure devices found that leaks of any size after implantation raise the risk of stroke. The study comes shortly after the US FDA issued an early alert for the Watchman access systems.
