ALLERGAN AMO ARRAY MULTIFOCAL IOL GAINS FDA APPROVAL, becoming the first intraocular lens available in the U.S. that is capable of providing near, intermediate, and distance vision. Allergan announced approval of a premarket approval application for the AMO Array model SA40 N on Sept. 8. Similar to Allergan's monofocal AMO lenses, the Array is a foldable, silicone lens. The 13 mm diameter lens includes zonal progressive multifocal optic.
