Guidant's Multilink Tetra

Fourth generation coronary stent system gains CE mark approval for European marketing and is available for commercial use, the firm announces May 15. The device employs variable-thickness strut technology for improved deliverability and "an optimal combination of scaffolding, conformability and visibility," Guidant claims. Intended for de novo blockages in native coronary arteries and also for saphenous vein grafts, the stent is available in diameters of 2.5, 2.75, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 mm and lengths of 8,13, 18, 23, 28, 33 and 38 mm
