"Grandfather" Clause Could Usher In By-Category OPPS Pass-Through List

Legislative language under consideration by Congress this fall would allow HCFA to "grandfather" devices introduced prior to 1997 for inclusion on its outpatient Prospective Payment System "new technology" list.
