Jan. 22 acquisition of privately held South Bay Medical for an undisclosed amount provides access to South Bay's IsoLoader brachytherapy system for treating prostate cancer. The IsoLoader includes a computerized workstation capable of running standardized treatment planning software, as well as an automated cartridge-based needle loading system that provides real-time radiation strength testing as the pre-sterilized radioactive seeds are loaded into the needles.
