Medicare reimbursement for intravascular brachytherapy procedures is established under the Aug. 1, 2001 physician fee schedule update for 2002 inpatient hospital treatments. The procedure will now be included in DRG 517, angioplasty with stenting, and reimbursed at about $2,600 more than angioplasty alone. The fee schedule goes into effect Oct. 1
