Rep. Tauzin to head PhRMA: Louisiana Republican Billy Tauzin will take the reins of the Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers of America on Jan. 3. The Dec. 15 announcement concludes 10 months of discussion between PhRMA and the former House Energy & Commerce Committee chairman, who will succeed Alan Holmer as head of the drug trade group.
