J&J/Cordis' smaller Cypher stent: Johnson & Johnson/Cordis gains FDA market go-ahead for a 2.25 mm version of its Cypher sirolimus-eluting coronary stent for small vessels, the firm announces Sept. 21. FDA also recently approved Boston Scientific's Taxus Liberte and Taxus Express paclitaxel-eluting stents for small vessels (1"The Gray Sheet" June 1, 2009)
