Industry Wins Some, Loses Some In Final Value-Based Purchasing Rule

The device industry was able to wring some concessions from CMS in a new hospital inpatient value-based purchasing rule issued April 29, but the Medicare agency declined to make any special provisions for additional resources that hospitals may need to purchase newer medical technologies.
