St. Jude Medical Inc. is not letting up on its campaign to correct what it says are fundamental errors in a study suggesting an elevated risk of death from short-circuits in its recalled Riata and Riata ST implantable cardioverter defibrillator leads.
The company on April 6 called for a retraction of the paper, posted online last month in the journal HeartRhythm and written by electrophysiologist Robert Hauser and colleagues from the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation
