Diversified health products company names Camille Farhat president of American Medical Systems, its wholly owned subsidiary, firm says July 18. Farhat most recently was general manager of Baxter Pharmaceuticals and Technologies. AMS, which specializes in devices to treat incontinence, erectile dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia and other pelvic disorders, was acquired by Endo Health Systems for $2.9 billion in cash in April 2011. Tony Bihl had been president and CEO of AMS, and continued as group president, announcing his planned July 2012 resignation from the firm in late March of this year.
