ACA Countdown: Details Emerging On Exchanges, Medicaid Expansion

Open enrollment in state exchange plans kicks off Oct. 1 and expanded Medicaid eligibility Jan. 1, and many states offer a preliminary view of how coverage will play out under the Affordable Care Act in 2014.

With the Affordable Care Act’s health insurance exchanges slated to open for business in just a month, benefit details remain scarce for both potential customers and drug and device companies eager to gauge how much new business might come their way. But enough information is emerging from states on the exchanges as well as Medicaid expansions to begin giving some shape to how coverage may look in 2014.
