Industry stakeholders listed their priorities to improve the medical regulatory process and research during a second hearing at the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee which is working on its own version of the House's 21st Century Cures bill.

Medical device industry stakeholders urged lawmakers to create a breakthrough designation for medical devices and emphasized the use of registries to expedite approvals during a second Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pension committee hearing to discuss steps to boost medical innovation.
