Image-Guided Neurologics

Thanks to advances in neurological imaging technology, some physicians--among them the founders of Melbourne, FL-based Image-Guided Neurologics Inc.--have begun to apply minimally-invasive techniques to intracranial drug delivery and neurosurgical procedures.

To date, minimally-invasive surgery—surgery in closed spaces of the body that, due to smaller incisions, leads to less trauma and shorter patient recovery times—has been applied to cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal) and, more recently, cardiovascular surgery. But, thanks to advances in neurological imaging technology, some physicians—among them the founders of Melbourne, FL-based Image-Guided Neurologics Inc. —have begun to apply minimally-invasive techniques to intracranial drug delivery and neurosurgical procedures.
