A US district court has barred privately-held orthopaedic company Arthrex from making or selling four lines of suture anchors, after ruling that the products infringed a patent licensed exclusively to Smith & Nephew by the inventor.
In addition, the jury in the Oregon court awarded S&N's Endoscopy subsidiary $14.7m in damages for past infringement since 2005.
