Advanced Stent Technologies CE-marks SLK-View:

Advanced Stent Technologies (AST) has CE-marked its SLK-View stent and delivery system to treat cardiovascular disease at or near bifurcation points in the coronary vascular system. The device, which the firm claims provides a significant advance over other devices in treated bifurcation lesions, comprises a stent with a side hole. This feature allows access to the side branch of the blood vessel during and after the insertion procedure, avoiding complications such as strut deformation, says the Pleasanton, California firm.
