FDA approves Guidant's Multi-Link Penta stent:

The US FDA has approved Guidant's PMA supplement application for its Multi-Link Penta coronary stent system. A US launch is planned for June. The product, which is the company's broad-use coronary stent system, was CE-marked for sale in Europe earlier this year. Guidant says it will launch the system in Europe this month.
