FDA clears self-refilling home oxygen system:

The US FDA has granted 510(k) clearance to Invacare's Venture HomeFill home oxygen system. The product allows patients to fill their own oxygen cylinders at home from an Invacare oxygen concentrator, so that cylinders do not have to be delivered to homes. The company, of Elyria, Ohio, developed the product to cut the cost of home oxygen therapy after the US government lowered Medicare reimbursement rates in January 1998.
