Allegiance has bought West Hudson & Co, a privately-owned healthcare consulting firm with annual sales of around $38 million. Financial details were not disclosed. West Hudson's business strengths lie in improving labour productivity and quality in hospitals. Allegiance, an independent company since last October, is the largest provider of healthcare products and cost-management services to US hospitals, laboratories and other healthcare providers.
