European launch for Chem-Trak's home cholesterol test:

Searle Pharmaceuticals has launched Chem-Trak's KolestoMeter home cholesterol test in Portugal, Belgium, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The test received FDA approval in 1993 and is already available in the US under the J&J Advanced Care brand. It is marketed in the UK by Boots. The test, which requires no fasting, gives results from a few drops of blood in about 15 minutes with 97% accuracy.
