Smith and Nephew changes Richards name:

Smith & Nephew is to rename its S&N Richards (US) company Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics. The Bartlett, Tennessee-based S&N Richards Medical Specialties division will become Smith & Nephew ENT. The orthopaedic accessories and exercise equipment product lines will be reassigned to S&N Orthopaedics and S&N Rehabilitation respectively. The naming strategy is part of the company's call for its businesses to reflect more closely their disciplines, says S&N North America group president Jack Blair.
