ConvaTec expands UK home delivery operations

Ostomy and wound care firm ConvaTec has bought Trent Direct, a UK-based specialist in home delivery of stoma and continence care products. The deal was carried out through ConvaTec's wholly-owned subsidiary Amcare, its existing home delivery service which has been serving UK customers for nearly 20 years. Skillman, New Jersey-based ConvaTec believes Trent Direct is an "ideal complement" to Amcare, with both sharing a commitment to "the highest standards of customer care and service". Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The takeover will have no impact on current orders and delivery schedules, ConvaTec said.
