Boston to make more redundancies as part of Costa Rica move

Less than a week before reporting its second-quarter results, Boston Scientific has indicated that it will cut 167 jobs at a manufacturing facility in Doral, Florida. The redundancies are part of an ongoing plan to relocate the Doral operation to Alajuela, Costa Rica, first disclosed in November 2009.

The South Florida Business Journal reported that the Natick, Massachusetts company filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) saying that the employees would be laid off between 20 September and 10 October
