ZipLine Medical Inc. is producing clinical evidence that its Zip surgical skin closure for surgical incision is faster than sutures and produces a smaller scar than staples.
Zip is a noninvasive secure wound closure made of flexible polyurethane that uniformly distributes force along the length of the incision. It is based on the Preloc technology first developed by founder Amir Belson. Surgeons can affix it quickly and adjust it precisely to create an isolation zone along the incision that allows it to heal with minimal scarring, ZipLine CEO John Tighe told Medtech Insight
