A two-year delay of the medical device tax was clinched on Jan. 22 after Republican senators struck a compromise agreement with Senate Democrats, gathering sufficient votes to fund the US government until Feb. 8. The bill ends a three-day government shutdown, and also includes a six-year agreement to fund the Children's Health Insurance Program.
