Geisinger And Medacta Pilot Guarantees Coverage Of Hip Replacements For Life

Geisinger Health has teamed up with Swiss-based device-maker Medacta International in a pilot program guaranteeing lifetime coverage of hip replacement costs for Geisenger patients.

A pilot hip-replacement program initiated in late February by device-maker Medacta International and health system Geisinger Health will cover all the costs of initial hip replacement surgery, revisions and hip replacements in later years – as long as the patient stays on the Geisinger health plan.
