CMS Proposes More Online Transparency For Hospital Charges

The US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is proposing that hospitals make their charges for individual items and services – including bills for advanced imaging scans and anesthesiologists’ charges – available on a searchable website to foster more transparency on specific health-care costs for patients.
