Start-Up Spotlight: Raising The Odds For IVF Success, Univfy Brings Algorithms To Fertility Clinics

Silicon Valley-based start-up Univfy has developed a machine-learning platform that helps in vitro fertilization clinics better predict the chances of IVF success for individual couples, and, with that, improve access to IVF treatment and financing. For 2019, Univfy hopes to use machine learning to expand its current capabilities from improving a couple's access to a clinic's refund program to coaching and breaking down other cost barriers.

Start-up Spotlight

For millions of couples who have trouble conceiving, in vitro fertilization is often the best hope for realizing their dream of becoming pregnant. But the high treatment costs, let alone the physical and emotional toll involved in undergoing IVF treatment, can deter many couples from even trying.

Silicon Valley-based start-up Univfy hopes to change that by helping couples attain easier access

Mylene Yao, Univfy's co-founder and CEO, who is also a board-certified OB/GYN, said the company has developed a business-to-business (B2B) machine-learning-platform that allows IVF clinics to accurately predict the chances of IVF success rate for individual couples
