Siemens Healthineers AG has signed a billion-dollar deal to merge with US firm Corindus Vascular Robotics, expanding the German company's advanced therapies business.

Siemens Healthineers is buying US firm Corindus Vascular Robotics Inc. in a major deal set to expand its advanced therapies business.

Under the terms of the agreement, Siemens Healthineers will acquire all fully diluted shares of Corindus for $4.28 per share in cash or $1.1bn in total
