Investor Eye: Sergey Young Searches For Investments That Extend Life

Sergey Young is on a mission to "extend healthy lifespans" by investing in longevity breakthroughs. Last year, the venture capitalist established a $100m fund investing in technologies with the potential to improve healthy long living.

COVID-19 will serve as a wake-up call about the benefits of longevity treatments, according to investor Sergey Young. "The mortality rates for people who are elderly or have the three killer diseases in developed countries [diabetes, cancer and heart disease] is super high in context of [COVID-19]," Young told Medtech Insight. "This shows how important 'health-span' extension is in support of our health and happiness in terms of fighting coronavirus and early death."
