Google – With Help From Medtech And Aviation Groups – Launches Site To Help Build Ventilators

In an unlikely partnership, Google, AdvaMed and the Aerospace Industries Association have developed a portal to help medical ventilator manufacturers and component suppliers share information. The portal is intended to help avoid shortages in ventilator parts as the US continues to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

Google LLC and the largest aviation and medtech lobby groups in the US have partnered to help efforts to develop more medical ventilators in the ongoing battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. While the issue of ventilator shortage has been in the news less in recent weeks, health experts are still concerned the crisis in the US is expected to get worse and continue to require more ventilators.

On 4 April, the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), AdvaMed and Google announced that they developed a manufacturing portal at www.VentConnect.org that lets ventilation component suppliers and manufacturers share information...
