Abbott’s Freestyle Libre 2 Gains Medicare Coverage

Abbott FreeStyle Libre 2 integrated continuous glucose monitoring system will now be available to US Medicare beneficiaries with diabetes, the company announced on 1 September.

Abbott said it has now secured partial or full reimbursement for its entire FreeStyle Libre portfolio in 37 countries, including Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the UK and the US.
