The US Government Accountability Office (GAO) has agreed to investigate key lawmakers’ assertions that the Trump administration has applied pressure to the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), skewing the scientific integrity of the agencies’ COVID-19 responses.
