Four US congressional representatives, led by Democratic Rep. Mike Thompson of California, who is co-chair of the congressional telehealth caucus, reintroduced a telemedicine bill – the Protecting Access to Post-COVID-19 Telehealth Act– in Congress on 19 January to permanently ensure access to telehealth by Medicare recipients.
The bill – which has the full support of the American Telemedicine Association -- contains the same language as HR 7663, also called the Protecting Access to Post-COVID-19 Telehealth Act, which was also introduced last year by the California representative
