Robotics means different things to different surgeons, according to Swiss innovator Distalmotion, whose surgical robot combines with laparoscopy to leave the surgeon fully in control in the OR.

Swiss company Distalmotion is pioneering novel hybrid robotic surgery devices. The company’s Dexter device combines laparoscopy and robotics for use in soft tissue, uro/gyne and general surgery.

Uniquely, it allows the surgeon to stay scrubbed in at the patient and to remain in full control of the procedure in the operating room
