Philips’ acquisition of Cardiologs Technologies is part of the continuing consolidation of the remote cardiac monitoring and analysis market.
Paris-based Cardiologs was founded in 2014 to develop software that uses machine learning and cloud-storage technology to screen electrocardiogram (ECG) data for evidence of arrhythmias. So far, Cardiologs’ ECG system has processed more than 20 million ECG recordings. The Cardiologs system earned a CE mark in 2016 and was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration in 2017
