MedTech Europe Urges EU To Support European Health Data Space Proposal

The European Commission’s proposed Regulation on the European Health Data Space has been broadly met with optimism by MedTech Europe. While some fine-tuning is needed, the trade body believes the initiative will help align health data across the EU.

If adopted, the European Health Data Space (EHDS) legislation could improve the accessibility of health data for patients, health care providers and product developers, according to a joint consensus statement published on 20 October by MedTech Europe and 28 other stakeholders from across the European health care sector.
