Lawmakers in both houses of the US Congress have reintroduced legislation that would reverse planned cuts to Medicare lab reimbursements, which supporters say is a crucial step in protecting seniors’ access to diagnostics.

The bill, known as the Saving Access to Laboratory Services Act (SALSA), was sponsored by Sens. Sherrod Brown, D-OH, and Thom Tillis, R-NC, along with Reps. Richard Hudson, R-NC, Bill Pascrell, Jr., D-NJ, Gus Bilirakis, R-FL, Scott Peters, D-CA, and Brian Fitzpatrick, R-PA
