Virtuoso Surgical said its newly unveiled robotic surgery system allows surgeons to use two hands to perform dexterous maneuvers within the body at the tip of the endoscope. US FDA submission is planned for 2024.

Virtuoso Surgical announced it will introduce its robotic system for endoscopic and endoluminal surgery, the Nashville-based surgical robotics start-up announced on 9 May.

“[The system gives] surgeons their hands back, equipping them to lift tissue, apply tension and maintain traction – in tight spaces within the body,” said Duke Herrell, CEO, chief medical officer and co-founder of Virtuoso
