MedTech Forum 2023: Are Attitudes Shifting In Favor Of The EU AI Act?

The proposed EU AI Act has been challenged by industry in recent years, but views expressed during a panel discussion at the MedTech Forum 2023 point towards increasing support among medtech stakeholders for the landmark legislation.

EU policymakers have timed the introduction of legislation on artificial intelligence (AI) well, given the rapid increase in public access to these technologies over recent months. That is according to Andrzej Rys, principal scientific advisor for health systems, medical products and innovation at the European Commission.
